About Our Swim Proficiency Program

At SBR, we design a swimming program for each athlete that meets individual needs and helps achieve personal goals.

Through SBR’s unique swim trainer (Endless Pool), and the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Total Immersion Senior Coach Stefan Bill, you can become a better swimmer.

For the triathlete, SBR will:
  • Teach you an effortless and powerful stroke.
  • Help you understand your movements in the water and its relationship to stroke efficiency.
  • Increase your confidence level for open water swimming.
  • Support you during your training period with mental and physical training and race strategy tips.
  • Show you efficient sighting and breathing for open water swims.
  • Help you achieve effortless breathing for pool swimming whether you are competing or training.
Understanding how important it is to be efficient in the water is the first step to a successful race. Stefan understands the human body and its relationship to the water. He is a multiple medalist and former All American swimmer, and more importantly, is able to pass on his knowledge to any level of triathlete.

For recreational swimmers, SBR will:
  • Help you to improve all four strokes, if wanted
  • Show you how to make your stroke efficient
  • Let you experience interesting and fun workouts to help meet your personal fitness goals
  • Show you drills, which will help you understand your body better in this environment
Swimming as an exercise is probably the best way to keep yourself healthy, young and in shape. It is important to have an efficient stroke to train and stay healthy. An efficient stroke also makes your swim more fun and challenging.

For phobic swimmers, SBR will:
  • Help you understand your reactions to the water and their influences on your ability to swim.
  • Allow you to create a safer and more secure swimming environment.
  • Show you basic relaxation techniques such as how to float.
  • Teach you how to breathe naturally in this different environment.
  • Lead you with step-by-step drills to an efficient and enjoyable swimming experience.
Feeling safe and secure in the water can be intimidating. For some people there is real fear, and this fear makes swimming difficult. Understanding the relationship between you and the water and how to accept the benefits of swimming with fear is one of Total Immersion Senior Coach Stefan Bill’s specialties.

For competitive swimmers, SBR will:
  • Improve your endurance, technique and mental focus using the Endless Pool.
  • Show you how to make all your strokes more efficient.
  • Help you gain speed and power.
  • Teach you how to use the walls for efficiency using streamlined fishlike underwater techniques.
As a former International age group swimmer, swim coach, USMS All American 400 IMer and Masters Swim coach in New York , Stefan Bill understands how to teach and coach competitive swimmers of all ages and levels so they can achieve personal bests.
