The SBR Triathlon Club is a USAT registered tri club catering to beginner, intermediate and elite triathletes. If you desire to get faster and stronger, forge new friendships and accomplish new goals, the SBR Triathlon Club is for you.
Consider joining the SBR Tri Club if:
- You are eager to develop a more regimented training program that provides base-building, speed, taper and recovery periods.
- You seek advice about your technique, racing, transitions or nutrition in a friendly, relaxed environment from fellow seasoned triathletes.
- You need guidance in deciding which races to do.
- You'd like to try a new distance of triathlon, for example a Sprint, Olympic, Half-Ironman or Ironman.
- You are eager to meet local triathletes and forge new friendships.
- You are tired of training alone and want to meet training partners to socialize with and push you to train harder.
- You have never done a triathlon before, but think it sounds like fun.
- You are taken aback by everything there is to learn about triathlons and all the different rules, requirements and gear options.
- You are looking to join a club that trains together throughout the year.

WORKOUT SCHEDULE
Each workout is led by the SBR Ambassadors. When you join the club, one of the ambassadors will be in touch with you to go over your goals and invite you to join a workout.

Additionally, weekends often include races, road trips to HarrimanState Park, Lake Placid, Coney Island/Brighton Beach or other training sites, brick workouts and open water swims. A more detailed description of each workout can be found on the member’s only website. Pace groups are formed and easy/hard workout options are available. Weekday runs/rides often take place in Central Park, just 1 block from SBR.
BIKE AND RUN: Weekday workouts are held in Central Park. Meet at SBR Multisports 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. An ambassador will go over the workout in detail and split everyone into appropriate pace groups.
SWIM: Weekly workouts will be posted on the club website. The club will meet weekly at Riverbank State Park. Riverbank is located at 679 Riverside Dr (entrances @ 138th st and145th st) Click here for more info about Riverbank State Park. Club members who are unable to attend the workouts are encouraged to follow the posted workout on their own.
Club members who desire additional swim assistance may arrange for coached lessons in SBR’s newly renovated endless pool. Please click here for more information.

SBR Tri Club members get 10-15% discounts off everything in our store. Club members receive discounts from participating chiropractors, massage therapists, ART practitioners, physical therapists and nutritionists in the area.
ID
As a member, you will get a laminated member ID card. Present your ID card to receive club discounts.
UNIFORMS
The SBR Multisports uniform includes gear from Zoot, Squadra, and Sugoi. Upon joining the club or renewing your membership, members will receive a complimentary SBR tri top, cycling jersey or run singlet. Members may purchase additional club gear at 15% off regular price.
