SBR Multisports invites you to attend a fun-filled evening with triathlon-legend Scott Tinley. SBR Multisports welcomes Scott for a meet-and-greet at the store and a run in Central Park . Following the run, Scott will return to SBR to answer questions, share tips and meet triathletes in the SBR community. Please join us for an exciting event with this phenomenal athlete and triathlon icon.
Scott Tinley is a member of the Ironman Hall of Fame, a two-time Ironman World Champion, and has competed professionally in over 400 triathlons. Tinley, a native Californian, is also an accomplished teacher, author, and athlete. Click for more info.

SBR Triathlon Series at Harriman State Park Race 1
This summer SBR Multisports is hosting the third annual race series of USAT sanctioned sprint triathlons in New York's beautiful Harriman State Park.
Each course is professionally marked and supervised. Swim waves are categorized by age and gender, and are limited to 100 swimmers per wave. Your race will be scored by the ChampionChip system.
Come out and join us this summer at Harriman - the series is ideal for the beginner triathlete as well as for the seasoned triathlete. Registration is limited, so act now!

Your Pace or Mine: Run the 2009 New York City Triathlon Course
(72nd & Riverside Dr)
The purpose of the work out is to orient you with the NYC Triathlon run course. We will warm-up by running from 72nd Street to the swim end point and back, to orient runners with the 2 transition areas. We will then exit Riverside Park at 72nd Street and run across 72nd Street to Central Park . Runners will turn left when entering Central Park and will run in a clockwise direction around the northern loop of Central Park . The Finish line is on Dead Road , just west of the bandshell on the 72nd Street Transverse in Central Park . This will be a 7 mile run at an easy - moderate pace, so be prepared. Open to all athletes.
Meeting Point: 72nd Street and Riverside Drive

2009 Nautica NYC Triathlon Open Water Swim Clinic
The Nautica NYC Tri is two weeks away – are you ready to dive into the Hudson? The 1500 meter swim is one of America 's fastest Olympic distance swims. But don’t bank on a strong current to get you to the finish. Improve your swim this Saturday with a workshop that focuses solely on the NYC Triathlon Swim. SBR Swim Coach Stefan Bill will prepare you to be more confident on race day by teaching you techniques for sighting, breathing, race start, navigating efficiently in a crowded swim wave, increasing your comfort and confidence to avoid panic and how to put on and take off you wetsuit in a race. Practice these newly learned skills in a finishing swim, and end with an informative Q&A. |
