Hand on a Scott Frame Contest at SBR Multisports
April 20, 2006

The ultimate endurance test, Hand on a Scott Frame is set to take stage this Friday, April 21st at SBR Multisports.

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 20, 2006 -- SBR Multisports, New York City triathlon retailer, and Scott USA are sponsoring the ultimate endurance test, Hand on a Scott Frame contest. The concept is simple: the last person left standing, hand on the new 2006 Scott Plasma frame, wins the frame. To provide a unique twist to the contest, SBR is requiring that all contest registrants have participated in a triathlon within the past year. "SBR is always looking for opportunities to promote the sport of triathlon and give our athletes a competitive edge with the gear they train and compete with," explains SBR owner Christophe Vandaele. The Plasma is Scott's new triathlon-specific bike, featuring a highly aerodynamic and super light (880g) carbon frame that utilizes Scott's unique CR1 carbon frame construction process. Launched January 2006, the Plasma weighs in at a mere 16.1lbs.

With over 40 registrants thus far, SBR's contest has attracted triathletes from all over the nation and even one from London. Half the registrants reside in states other than New York, including Florida, New Jersey, Virginia, Connecticut, Ohio and California.

While only one contestant will walk away with the Scott Plasma frame, nine other prizes including a Blueseventy wetsuit, a year membership to Asphalt Green and a Rudy Project helmet and sunglasses make the trip to SBR in New York City worth the risk. Triathletes understand risk well; there is only so much training and mental preparation that can be done prior to race day, and on race day anything can happen. On contest day, anything can happen. Hand on a Scott Frame will no doubt be a test of dedication and endurance.
