SBR Multisports' Triathletes
Named All American
January 11,
2006
Two members
from SBR Multisports' 2005 Elite Triathlon
Team, Dianna Ineman, 40 and Stefan
Kusurelis, 36 have been named All
American. USAT (USA Triathlon), the
sanctioning body of the sport of triathlon,
announced over the weekend its list
of athletes achieving 'All-American'
and 'Honorable Mention' status.
Each year, USAT names the top 5% of all amateurs to its list of All-Americans. The list is selected by applying a series of criteria, formulas, and qualifying points from races throughout the year. Factors such as field size, race championship status, and distance are all examples of such criteria.
This is Inemans third consecutive year as an All American and Kusureliss second. Both SBR sponsored triathletes competed in Ironman Kona 2005 with Ineman placing 4th in the 40-44 age group with a PR of 10:29:02. Kusurelis finished 13th in the 35-39 age group with a time of
9:22:56. 2006 will be a busy year for both triathletes. Ineman and Kusurelis have both renewed their sponsorship with SBR Multisports.
In February, Ineman will make the trip to Malaysia for her first Ironman race of 2006.
With the enormous success of its 2005 sponsorship team and triathletes, SBR Multisports, the midtown Manhattan triathlon retailer, has selected two sponsorship teams for 2006: an Elite Team and a Community Team. On a community level, SBR annually participates in many charity events in New York City and sponsors a variety of triathlon organizations across the country.
