SBR Multisport 1/2 Ironman

Sports Signs as Title Sponsor.

Genesis Adventures, Inc., a leading
event production company based in
Southbury, Connecticut announced a
new 1/2 Iron distance Triathlon to
be held on May 21, 2005. The event
will be held at Harriman State Park
in Rockland County, NY. In addition
to announcing the race, Genesis Adventures
is pleased to welcome New York City
based SBR MultiSports as title sponsor
of the event. The SBR Multi Sports
1/2 Half Iron Tri is the closest 1/2
Half iron triathlon to New York City.
The race will be held at of Lake Sebago
in the southern corner of Harriman
Sate Park with racers swimming 1.2
miles before heading out on a 56 miles
bike ride. The final segment of the
race will be a 13.1-mile run around
the lake. SBR Multi Sports will serve
as the official race headquarters
for the event with pre-event clinics,
on site registration and pre event
packet pickup.
'This will be an exciting event for
all triathletes,' said Brain Duncanson,
President of Genesis Adventures. 'The
race offers locals a chance to compete
at a serious distance in their own
backyard and will attract athletes
from all over the country because
of its proximity to New York City.'
Duncanson also adds, 'This is a difficult
course, the bike loop has some serious
climbs, it will be a good challenge
to racers of all abilities and a great
warm up for racers competing in Ironman
Lake Placid later in the year.'

participate in many charity events

local triathlon organizations like
Genesis Adventures. This event will
launch long course competitions into
the New York City area and hopefully
develop into an ultra distance event.'
