| Argon 18 and Orbea Ordu Summer Special: |
|
| Argon 18 E-114 Frameset - Size S,M,L - Sale Price $2800 (orig. $3750) |
| The E-114 frameset includes the frame, fork, headset, bullhorn bars and aerobar extensions as well as the brakes and brake levers. These components are designed to work together; using the complete setup maximizes the aerodynamic and ergonomic advantages inherent in the design. |
| |
| Argon 18 E-112 Frameset - Size M - Sale Price $1700 (orig. $2199.95 ) |
| Originally, the Element-114 design project was undertaken for the purpose of creating a new time-trial/triathlon frameset for Argon 18 pro athletes. As testing and prototype development progressed, Argon 18 accumulated such a wealth of data and usable ideas that they ended up with not one but two framesets. The E-112, is created from the same mold that shapes the E-114, making it an outstandingly stable and aerodynamic frameset in its own right. |
| |
2008 Orbea Ordu - Matte black: Size 51 &54 - Pearl white: Size 57
with Dura Ace Components $4200 or as a frameset $1900 |
| The 2008 Ordu is totally new and evaluated in wind tunnel testing, resulting in a 7% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency over the '07 Ordu. The new headtube is uniquely designed to reduce frontal area. The new seat mast, bottom bracket shell, integrated seat clamp, and aero dropouts show that nothing has been left untouched in making the fastest bike on the road. |

| SBR SWIM COACHING |
| |
 |
Congratulations Hugo and Gregory!
SBR Multisports would like to congratulate the work of head swim coach Stefan Bill for the outstanding accomplishments of two of his protégées.
Hugo Lowell (pictured left) raced to become the second fastest nine-year-old in the 50 meter and 100 meter breaststroke at the 2008 Eastern Zone Long Course All Star Swimming Competition. Since they started working together almost a year ago, Hugo has become one of the most efficient young breaststroke swimmers on the East Coast, if not the nation. |
| Gregory Close (pictured right) is the winner of the M25-29 age group division at the 2008 Long Course Duathlon World Championship and 2007 Nautica New York City Triathlon. Gregory has been working with Coach Bill for the past year to rebuild his stroke and make him more efficient, powerful and faster than ever before in the water. |
|
 |
On August 24th, Greg will assist swim coach Stefan Bill in leading the SBR Open Water Swim Clinic in Fairfield, Conneticut.

2nd Annual Fernando Cuevas Ride against Cancer
Presented by
RIDE AGAINST
New York, NY
Sunday, September 14, 2008
Online Registration Closes
Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 8:00 AM ET
In fall 2006, Fernando Cuevas a local NYC rider was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and he has been battling the disease ever since. Fernando has touched the lives of many young bike racers and has made an impact in the cycling community through his involvement in the America's Cycling Team program as well as his time running the junior program at Kissena Velodrome. The fall 2007 ride was a fantastic success! We rode from Central Park, over the GWB into New Jersey. We stopped at the Runcible Spoon Coffee Shop before returning to the city for a raffle and pictures at the boat basin on the Hudson River.

Sprint Race 1: Sunday June 1st [click here for results]
Sprint Race 2: Saturday August 16th [click here for results]
SBR Multisports would like to thank everyone for supporting the SBR Triathlon Series this summer. The race series was a huge success this year, with over 700 athletes registered for the two races. Fortunately, the weather was great for both the June and August race, despite thunderstorms the night before. SBR’s race director says, "Thanks to everyone's cooperation, everything went smoothly from registration to the awards ceremony. It's amazing to see how much the triathlon series has grown in just one year. I look forward to working with SBR again and expanding the race series next season!"
SBR would especially like to thank all of the triathlon teams and clubs who made the SBR Triathlon Series one of their "team events" this season. It was fun to see so many teams on the course! And congratulations to all first time triathletes - we hope to see you swimming, biking and running with us again next year!
We appreciate your feedback! If you would like to share your thoughts about the race, please email sjargowsky@sbrshop.com. |

| |
Here is your opportunity to relocate to New York City and work full time in the field you love: swimming, biking and running. If you're interested in this opportunity to live in NYC and be involved in the triathlon / multisport community, then read further. We are currently seeking a full time sales associate to work in our retail store, located in the center of Manhattan, NYC, next to Central Park. Compensation for moving expenses may be available.
The position we are looking to fill is a full time sales associate position. However, we are not looking for just a sales associate. In an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and thriving environment like ours, employees are given a lot of responsibility and can expand their job description as it best suits their talent and interest. This is an opportunity to enhance your career by becoming a team leader, implementing your creative ideas, having a direct impact on the company's bottom line and excelling in client relations. Innovation and differentiation drive our business: we were the first store in NYC catering to triathletes and multisport athletes. The passion and enthusiasm we have for triathlon shows in our relentless pursuit of the best, from superior service we provide our customers, to our commitment to give back to our sport, to our concern for the environment.
SBR Multisports is an industry leader and we are a competitive bunch, but not with each other. Our staff is a close-knit group who mutually enjoys and respects each other. As a team, we are dedicated to the promotion of the sport and the latest innovations. We are looking for someone who will fit in with our demanding but fun work environment. Many of us ride and run together and we even took a company-sponsored trip to Universal Studios, Florida to celebrate the yearlong successes.
Job Description:
The sales associate works with customers to identify and sell the products that best fit the customer's needs, while promoting multisports such as cycling, running and swimming. The sales associate also stocks the floor, assists in inventory reports, cleans and performs other duties required to keep the sales floor beautiful and the products readily available.
Job Requirements / Skills:
Customer service experience and/or retail sales experience is required. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, cheerful and positive attitude, works well within a team, works hard, solution-oriented and driven to succeed. Knowledge of triathlon products and services is not required but is a plus. Passion for cycling, running or swimming is preferred. Must be available to work at least one day during the weekend and have a flexible schedule.
If you share our passion and devotion for triathlon and have relevant experience, we encourage you to contact us and join our team. Send your resume and cover letter to info@sbrshop.com. Check out our website. We look forward to hearing from you!
