Open Water Swim 101

The Nautica NYC Tri is less than two weeks away – are you ready to dive into the Hudson? The 1500 meter swim is one of America's fastest Olympic distance swims thanks to a strong current.

Improve your swim this Sunday with a workshop that focuses solely on the NYC Triathlon Swim. We will discuss strategies, tips, and practice:

Sprint Race 2: Saturday August 16th

Once again, SBR Multisports is hosting a series of USAT sanctioned sprint triathlons in New York's beautiful Harriman State Park. The course is professionally marked and supervised. Swim waves are categorized by age and gender, and are limited to 100 swimmers per wave. Your race time will be scored with the ChampionChip system. A prize drawing and an awards ceremony will follow the race. All participants will receive an SBR Tri Series t-shirt. Come out and join us this summer at Harriman - the series is ideal for the beginner triathlete as well as for the seasoned triathlete. Registration is limited, so act now!

Wednesday Night Runs in Central Park: RUN THE 2008 NYC TRI

When: Wednesday, July 16th
Meeting Point: 72nd Street and Riverside Drive
Meeting Time: 7:15 PM (run starts promptly at 7:30)
SBR Ambassadors Leading the Run: Bobby Leong  Sascha Kreideweis

Agenda:
The purpose of the work out is to orient you with the NYC Triathlon run course. We will warm-up by running from 72nd Street to the swim end point and back, to orient runners with the 2 transition areas. We will then exit Riverside Park at 72nd Street and run across 72nd Street to Central Park. Runners will turn left when entering Central Park and will run in a clockwise direction around the northern loop of Central Park. The Finish line is on Dead Road, just west of the bandshell on the 72nd Street Transverse in Central Park. This will be a 7 mile run at an easy - moderate pace, so be prepared.

Open to all athletes.

NYC Bike Rental Manager

Job Description:
The Bike Rental Manager is a personable, energetic and hardworking individual who enjoys interacting with customers and promoting the NYC bike rental and touring business. The Bike Rental Manager enjoys being outdoors, has a flexible schedule and is able to handle many tasks at once. S/he must be a problem-solver, quick thinker and must be physically fit and able to move equipment and bikes on a daily basis. In addition, s/he must be dependable, independent and able to speak English well. The Bike Rental Manager’s duties include: scheduling bike rentals and tours, taking payments, preparing bikes for use, checking bikes for damage after use, managing cash and credit card payments, working with and delegating tasks to 2-4 other employees.

Requirements:
Must be able to work 9am – 6pm 5 days/week (may include weekends). Job location is located at SBR Multisports in midtown Manhattan . If interested, please email your resume to biketours1@aol.com. Include two references. Compensation is negotiable.
