| SBR Swim Proficiency Program |
COACH STEFAN'S SWIM TIPS
SBR Swim Coach Stefan Bill's 6 swim workout components
for an efficient and healthy exercise routine:
- Begin with a Proper Warm-up: Start slowly and systematically to
raise body temperature and prepare the muscles, nervous system,
tendons, ligaments and the cardiovascular system for upcoming
stretches and exercises.
- Stretch: After you have warmed-up, spend 15-25 seconds for each
stretching exercise to loosen up tight muscles.
- First Endurance Set: The first set should be longer than 1000 yards,
split up in several distances with short breaks (10-15 seconds) in
between. Swim at a comfortable speed: 75-80% of maximum capacity.
- Technique Set: You can never stop working on your stroke. The more efficient you get, the less you have to work, the less tired you get,
the more endurance you can build and the stronger you will leave the water
after your swim to get ready for the bike.
- Second Endurance Set: Swim this set at a little less comfortable
speed
than set number 1: 80-85% of maximum capacity. Depending on your
season's
goals, this set should be around 1000 yards, split up in several
distances
with short breaks (15-20 seconds) in between.
- End Your Session with a Proper Cool-Down: The cool-down should be just as long as your warm-up to help your body recover faster.
Stay tuned for a sample workout.

| |
On Saturday, May 24th SBR Multisports will be hosting éRide, Cervélo's test ride program.
éRide gives you the opportunity to experience for yourself what the Cervélo ride is all about.
éRide is all about taking your favorite bikes for a ride and interacting directly with Cervélo personnel and experienced SBR staff, who will answer your questions and help you make a better-informed decision about which Cervélo model and size works the best for you.
éRide the Cervélo model of your choice from our fleet of available models. Bikes available include the
Soloist Carbon,
Soloist Team,
SLC-SL,
RS,

The Cervélo truck will be stationed at SBR Multisports from 8am-5pm. Pre-register for guided éRides at 8am and 10am, and women's-only ride at 9am led by experienced women riders. Walk-ins are welcome from 12-5pm.
How to participate: Pre-registration is required for the guided morning rides. Please RSVP to alison@sbrshop.com with the following information: Name, phone number, email, Cervélo model and size, and requested éRide time.
Why do I need to register? Pre-Registering will give us the necessary information to have your bike built and ready to ride when you arrive at SBR.
Can I test ride more than one Cervélo? Of course! You may also choose, if your specific model is not available or, after you take your first test ride - to try another Cervélo model based on what is available.
What do I need to bring (other than myself)? Please make sure you have a HELMET, shoes, pedals, a valid ID and credit card, and a signed waiver. If you do not own a helmet and pedals, there will be some available.
Are there specific restrictions or conditions that I should be aware of before I sign up? You will have to sign a waiver. You will also have to leave a valid ID and credit card.
Is there any cost, why the credit card? There is no cost. The credit card is our insurance that you will return with the bike (hey stranger things have happened).
